Junior chess club
New junior chess club for Years 5 and older, every term-time Tuesday 6.15-7.15pm. Cost, to cover Frome (senior) Chess Club’s extended room hire, is £10 per term per family (any number of siblings), and there are 2 terms per year (Sep-Dec, Jan-May). All levels welcome.

Frome Fire cadets
We run a cadet night at the fire station every Monday night between 7pm and 9pm term time. We are actively recruiting new cadets

Our Fire Cadet Unit gives young people aged between 12 and 15 the opportunity to work with the fire and rescue service equipment and learn to work together as a team.The scheme is aimed at young people, in school years 8 to 11, who would like to develop practical, life and communication skills. It also encourages young people to be part of a team. We aim to encourage the cadets to make the most of their physical and mental capabilities and to become safer, more responsible and caring members of the community.

Frome Roller Disco
Tuesdays and Wednesdays each week 4:15pm - 5:45pm (under 14’s) 6:15pm - 7:45pm (all welcome). Skaters to be accompanied by parent or carer. Skaters need to bring their own skates however there is limited skate hire at £1.50 per person. £3.00 entry. Reserve a place (it gets busy!) or just turn up.

Luke’s Lego club
Luke’s Lego Club is an after school club in Christchurch St West running Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4pm - 6pm, children aged between 5-12yrs can come in for 2 hours and build and create whatever their imagination lets them with unlimited amounts of Lego to play with.  The cost is just £3.00 per child per session and spaces are limited. We also hold Lego birthday parties at the weekends for up to 12 children for 2 hours.

Open Storytellers

Routes Youth Cafe

1A Palmer Street, Frome
Monday to Wed 10am - 5pm,  Thurs 10am - 6pm, Fri 10am - 5pm and 6pm - 9pm,  Sat 12noon - 5pm. Open to 11-25yr olds.
Cheap snacks, hang out with your mates, playstation and friendly staff.
Routes is managed by Mendip YMCA.The project enables direct access to information, advice, support and learning opportunities for young people. We are able to signpost young people to a wide range of services, e.g. housing, activities, employment, and training whilst providing support, help and guidance for young people to reach goals and fulfil their full potential.
We run a Job Club at Routes which is funded by Targeted Youth Support and is held 11.00 - 1.00pm every Wednesday. Participants get an opportunity to complete an accredited ASDAN qualification and also get a free bacon/cheese toastie and a cuppa!
Mental health drop in Tuesdays 2pm - 5pm.
lgbt (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) social ‘tea and cake’ last Friday of the month from 6pm - 9pm.
